Grand Ridge, Fla. (WDNews)
– A routine patrol in Grand Ridge led to the arrest of a wanted fugitive with a burglary warrant out of Texas.
On Sunday morning, June 15, 2025, around 9:30 a.m., a Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputy spotted a vehicle making suspicious maneuvers along Highway 90 and Porter Avenue after noticing the marked patrol car.
A traffic stop was initiated, and deputies identified the driver as Curtis Alan Adams. Investigators say the vehicle had an incorrect tag, and Adams was driving without a valid license. A records check revealed Adams had a full extradition warrant out of Texas for burglary and was also on probation in Jackson County for a prior burglary conviction.
Adams was arrested and faces the following charges:
-
Fugitive from Justice
-
Violation of Probation
-
Driving While License Cancelled
-
Tag Attached Not Assigned
He remains in custody pending extradition proceedings.
