HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. (WDNews) – A disturbance call on June 15 led to a drug arrest after deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office discovered a juvenile lying intoxicated in the middle of PDL Springs Road.
Deputies say the female juvenile was visibly impaired and later confirmed she had been given alcohol by 39-year-old April Jones. Witnesses at the scene backed up the juvenile’s statement.
Jones was found a short time later and detained. During a search of her belongings, deputies recovered multiple illegal substances including psilocybin mushrooms, LSD, marijuana, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
The juvenile was transported by EMS to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Jones was arrested and faces several charges:
- Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms
- Possession of LSD
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor
The investigation remains ongoing.
