CHIPLEY, Fla. (WDNews) – A Georgia man wanted for murder was arrested Monday evening in Washington County after deputies spotted his vehicle on State Road 77.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says 62-year-old Melvin Sutton, of East Point, Ga., was taken into custody around 6:15 p.m. on June 9. Deputies had received a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) for a white 2000 Buick sedan connected to Sutton, who was wanted out of Fulton County on charges of felony murder and three counts of neglect to a disabled adult.

Deputies located the vehicle traveling north and conducted a traffic stop. Authorities say the warrant for Sutton was confirmed, and he was arrested without incident.

Sutton is being held at the Washington County Jail as he awaits extradition.
