Dothan, Ala. (WDNews) – Dothan Police have arrested six individuals, including three juveniles, in connection with a recent wave of vehicle break-ins across the city. Over the past week, multiple reports were filed regarding suspects entering unlocked vehicles and stealing various items—ranging from personal belongings to firearms.

The investigation led officers to a residence in the 2800 block of Nottingham Way and additional locations outside the Dothan city limits. With assistance from the department’s Special Response Team, investigators executed search warrants and took six suspects into custody.

Those arrested include:

Marion Omri Sylvester Luke, 18, charged with 25 counts of Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle.

Latanya Butts, 47, charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree.

Tavant Latrell Mobley, 18, charged with Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree.

Three juveniles, whose names are withheld due to Alabama law. They face multiple charges, including 25 and 16 counts of vehicle break-ins and drug possession.

In total, the six individuals face 70 charges, and authorities say more could follow.

“The type of behavior these individuals have been charged with will be prosecuted to the fullest extent allowed by law,” said Dothan Police Chief William E. Benny. “Our investigators are committed to uncovering the truth and recovering property taken during these crimes.”

The investigation is ongoing, and several previously open cases have now been closed thanks to the arrests. WDNews will continue to follow this story as more details are released.
