Dothan, Ala. (WDNews) – HudsonAlpha Wiregrass has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Alabama STEM Council to help bring bioscience career resources to high school students across the state.
The grant will support new efforts to spark interest in STEM fields—especially bioscience—by providing students with tools and information to explore future career paths. The program aims to reach classrooms throughout Alabama, including those in the Wiregrass region.
According to HudsonAlpha Wiregrass, the initiative is designed to empower students with real-world knowledge about bioscience opportunities, helping them better understand the skills and education needed for careers in the growing field of biotechnology.
HudsonAlpha Wiregrass is part of the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology and serves as a hub for education, research, and workforce development in the region.
