1.PLN to IKN
PT PLN (Persero) Independent Commissioner Alex Iskandar Munaf stated that the supply of electricity to the National Capital (IKN) Nusantara in Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser District, East Kalimantan is a work that requires the cooperation of all stakeholders.
“(Supply to IKN) is carried out by PLN with the aim of providing excellent services to the community. But (electricity) must be ready by August 17, 2024,” Alex Munaf said in Balikpapan on Sunday.

2. Increasing the quota for first aid
The Government of North Penajam Paser District, East Kalimantan, has received a quota of 614 civil servants with labor agreements (P3K) from the Ministry of Public Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform.
The head of the Staff and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) of North Penajam-Pazer Amrullah district in Punjam said on Monday that the P3K recruitment is scheduled to take place in 2023.

3. Sea water for pure water ingredients.
Balikpapan city government is interested in sea water treatment by PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI) in Balikpapan. KPI recycles sea water to increase the supply of fresh water for crude oil processing at refineries.
“We want to know about the desalination that is being carried out at the Balikpapan refinery, given that we also do not have raw water sources to obtain clean water,” said Balikpapan, Murni, head of the Regional Development Planning Agency, Research and Development (Bappeda Litbang), Monday.

4. DHF in East Kalimantan 3152 people.
East Kalimantan provincial health chief Jaya Mualimin said the number of cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in the province had reached 3,152 as of August 25, 2023, with 15 people declared dead.
“This is 45 cases more than in the previous month. The incidence rate of DHF in East Kalimantan is 83.2 per 100,000 population and the death rate is 0.48 percent,” Jaya said in Samarinda on Monday.

5. East Kalimantan Scholarships must not be returned to the regions.
The Provincial Government of East Kalimantan (Pemprov Kaltim), through the Kaltima Scholarship Total Management Agency (BP-BKT), provides college scholarships to sons and daughters of the province without any obligation for scholarship recipients to return to their place of origin after completing their education.
“We did not send him there (must return to East Kalimantan). We only provide scholarships and prepare human resources (HR),” BP-BKT head Iman Hidayat said in Samarinda on Monday.
