Westbrook has yet to play in the major leagues. The 27-year-old has spent nearly a decade in the minors, spending parts of four seasons in Triple-A. He appeared to be under consideration for an MLB call-up when the Detroit Tigers acquired him from the Milwaukee Brewers in a trade in April:
That turned out not to be, as the former fifth-round pick spent the year at Triple-A Toledo. Jamie Vaughn Westbrook hit .248/.349/.377 in 499 plate appearances, displaying solid plate discipline if not much power.

He’s primarily a second baseman, but has experience in the corner outfield; he will add some defensive flexibility to the upper levels of the system. He is 1.75 meters tall and weighs 87 kilos. Since 2013 he has been in branches, will he finally debut in 2023 at the Big Show?
