In early August, Nothing announced the creation of a sub-brand of CMF. Its goal is to offer low-cost products by the end of the year, starting with connected watches and wireless headphones. This is reminiscent of the Redmi brand strategy under the Xiaomi brand, which also specializes in value for money.

We now know more about the first CMF by Nothing products thanks to a leak published on Telegram and shared GSMArena.

Watches without WearOS

The flagship of this first line of three products will be the Internet-connected CMF Watch Pro. It should have a 1.96 inch AMOLED screen with Always-on display, 50Hz refresh rate and 600cd/m² brightness. Its body will be made of aluminum and will provide IP68 dust and water resistance.

The watch will not run on Google Wear OS, but on a small proprietary system capable of offering 100 different watch faces and 110 physical actions. There would be at least GPS, a heart rate sensor and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2). The watch will also be able to track sleep, breathing and stress. The 330 mAh battery allows the watch to work 13 days without Always On Display.

The CMF Watch Pro is reportedly being sold at a very competitive price of Rs 4,500. i.e. approximately 50 euros excluding tax.

Headphones and 65W GaN charger.

The second leaked product is CMF Buds Pro. We are promised 11 hours of autonomy when playing music, 45 dB active noise cancellation, IP54 certification and fast charging through a 460 mAh case.

As for the sound, we’ll have to wait to hear it in our ears to judge, but the posted image mentions “ultra bass technology”, three microphones per earpiece and the use of 10 mm dynamic drivers. These headphones will be priced at Rs 3,500 or about 40 euros.

CMF will finally offer a small 65W GaN charger priced at Rs 3,000. i.e. 33 euros. It will be able to provide up to 65W of power on two USB-C ports and 36W on the USB-A port. Good point: The charger will support Samsung’s 18W protocol for fast charging of the Korean manufacturer’s product.

The announcement of these three products is expected on September 26, 2023.
