In an Instagram video, the 33-year-old actress, Dressed in hot pink shorts, a black crop top and sneakers, she walked outside the school in Salt Lake City, Utah, as the song played Breaking Free from the iconic Disney Channel Original Movie.
Vanessa captioned the video with a quote from her character in the film, writing: “Do you remember in kindergarten how you met a kid and knew nothing about him and then ten seconds later you play like you were the best of friends because you didn’t have to be anything but yourself?”
Vanessa played Gabriella Montez, the new girl at school who falls for the captain of the basketball team, Bolton (played by zac efron) in the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical, from 2006.
The following year, he reprized his role in High School Musical 2 and then again, in 2008, High School Musical 3: Senior Year, the first film in the franchise to be released theatrically. Today, according to the same source, East High School is the scene of High School Musical: The Musical: The Seriesstarring Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett.
