Two Men Injured in Biscayne Gardens Shootings, One Victim Tried to Flee Gunman

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Two men were shot Tuesday afternoon in Miami-Dade County’s Biscayne Gardens neighborhood, according to deputies.

Deputies from the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office discovered a wounded guy soon after 2:35 p.m. in a strip mall on Northeast Sixth Avenue, near 150 Street, according to police. A second gunshot occurred outside of an apartment building on Northeast Sixth Avenue, around 137 Street, in North Miami.

According to Maj. Kessler Brooks, a spokesman for the North Miami Police Department, the victim attempted to flee the shooter.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue workers responded to assist both individuals, whom they identified as trauma alerts.

Detectives asked anyone with information on this or other instances to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 and remain anonymous.
