Turkish army appoints first female general

After the Supreme Military Council (YAŞ), a female general was appointed in the Turkish Armed Forces for the first time.

For the first time, a female admiral was appointed in the Turkish armed forces. In the Naval Command, Staff Colonel Gokcen Firat was promoted to the rank of Admiral as part of the YAŞ decisions.

The decisions of the Supreme Military Council (SAC), convened under the chairmanship of President Erdogan, were announced. The commander of the 2nd Army, General Metin Gyurak, was appointed Chief of the General Staff. First place was also achieved in the new team level.
