To discuss the readiness of schools for the new academic year, the Seimas Commission for Education, Culture and Science invited representatives of responsible institutions and industry experts to a meeting on Wednesday, August 30.
At the meeting, together with representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Culture, the Union of Educational and Scientific Workers of Latvia, the Association of Education Managers of Latvia, the Association of Local Governments of Latvia, local government education councils and other organizations, it is planned to discuss vacancies for teaching positions, as well as the transition to teaching at national language.
It is also planned to dwell on the issue of providing teaching aids, discuss the relevance of health education and progress towards reducing bureaucracy in educational institutions, as well as discuss the education of children of Ukrainian civilians.
The meeting on Wednesday, August 30, will begin at 10:00 and will be held in the commission’s meeting room at ul. Ekaba, 16, room. 407.
