The Government Office has just sent a document expressing the views of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on submitting the National Assembly for Investment Policy on the North-South Expressway project west of the Gia Ngia (Dak Nong) – Chong Thanh (Binh) section. Phuok).

The document said that in order to ensure the advancement of the submission to the National Assembly under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Jang Hong Ha instructed the Ministry of Planning and Investment to urgently implement the Prime Minister’s instruction.

In particular, it is urgent to organize an examination of the report on the preliminary feasibility study of the project and register its contents for submission to the National Assembly on the investment policy of this project at the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly.

The North-South Expressway project west of the Gia Ngia (Dak Nong) – Chong Thanh (Binh Phuoc) section has been handed over by the Prime Minister to the Binh Phuoc Provincial People’s Committee as the competent government agency.

At the direction of the Prime Minister, the Binh Phuoc Provincial People’s Committee proposed an investment plan for the Gia Nghia-Chong Thanh Expressway Project in the form of a public-private partnership (PPP) and was approved by the Ministry of Transportation.

Accordingly, the project has a length of about 128.8 km, passes through the provinces of Binh Phuoc (101 km) and Dak Nong province (27.8 km), the investment scale is 4 full lanes.

As for the route, the starting point of the route is at km 1915+900 of National Highway 14, where the route is on the left side of National Highway 14 in Nhanko Commune, Dak Rlap District, Dak Nong Province.

The end point of the route is from the intersection with the Ho Chi Minh City – Thu Dau Mot – Chong Thanh Expressway to build a new open route of about 2 km, connecting with the Ho Chi Minh Road, Chon Thanh – Duc Hoa section.

The preliminary total investment in the project is about VND 25.987 billion.

Once the project is completed, it will reduce the travel time from Dac Nong to Binh Phuoc Province to Ho Chi Minh City and at the same time facilitate communication with Long Thanh International Airport and Cai Mep Thi Wai Port (Ba Ria Vung). Tau province). Vung Tau); creating a breakthrough in the region in socio-economic development, attracting investment and ensuring national defense and security.
