The women’s soccer team played a 1-1 draw against world runners-up Germany in the group stage of the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Cho So Hyun scored the first goal in the 6th minute of the first half, but Alexandra Pope of Germany equalized in the 42nd minute of the first half.
The team, remaining at the end of the group with 1 draw and 2 defeats, failed to reach the 1/8 finals.
Germany also failed to reach the round of 16 for the first time in the tournament’s history after Colombia and Morocco.
