After several days of breaking temperature records that devastated the summer season, another startling announcement was made. Professor at Bogazici University. Dr. Levent Kurnaz said that September this year is expected to be much warmer than usual compared to previous years.

Director of the Center for Research and Application of Climate Change Policy and Policies of Bogazici University Prof. Dr. Levent Kurnaz said that due to the El Niño effect, the average September temperature in Turkey will be above normal values, and that 2024 will see values far above the record temperatures measured worldwide this year.
While climate change is the most important cause of rising global temperatures, the El Niño effect has been added since May of this year.
