As July 26 approaches, the teasers for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 are getting more intense.

Until now, Samsung’s foldable phones have closed with a gap between the two halves, which automatically increases their thickness and makes them less attractive in design. Its elimination is carried out by simplifying the hinge and adopting a mechanism of the “water drop“.
A new teaser from Samsung India confirms this. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is also expected to bring a significant upgrade to the outer screen, from a 1.9-inch to a 3.4-inch folder-shaped screen. This time it will also display full screen apps like YouTube and Google Maps. Also in the Samsung India teaser, we see 3 colors of the product: lavender, mint and cream.

Each device opens and closes several times, so we can see the hinge as clearly as possible. It also looks like the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is a bit more boxy when closed compared to the Z Flip 4. The phone is expected to have the same cameras as its predecessor, as well as a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor in the “For Galaxy” version (with higher-than-usual core clock speeds).
