Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will indeed not have a gap between the two halves of the screen (official teaser)

As July 26 approaches, the teasers for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 are getting more intense.

Moreover, both models of the new folding models will have this attribute, making them more attractive to the public. Until now, Samsung’s foldable phones have closed with a gap between the two halves, which automatically increases their thickness and makes them less attractive in design. Its elimination is carried out by simplifying the hinge and adopting a mechanism of the “water drop“.

A new teaser from Samsung India confirms this. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is also expected to bring a significant upgrade to the outer screen, from a 1.9-inch to a 3.4-inch folder-shaped screen. This time it will also display full screen apps like YouTube and Google Maps. Also in the Samsung India teaser, we see 3 colors of the product: lavender, mint and cream.

Each device opens and closes several times, so we can see the hinge as clearly as possible. It also looks like the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is a bit more boxy when closed compared to the Z Flip 4. The phone is expected to have the same cameras as its predecessor, as well as a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor in the “For Galaxy” version (with higher-than-usual core clock speeds).
