Meanwhile, the dollar index, or DXYwhich tracks the behavior of this currency against a basket of the six most important currencies, is in 104,265 unitswith a loss of 0.22% at 9:47 am ET, according to the same financial portal.
The Mexican peso has recovered a bit of ground after it depreciated last Wednesday due to the announcement by the United States Federal Reserve (Fed) about a 75 basis point increase in interest ratesan adjustment not seen for 28 years.
With this measure, the central bank seeks to slow down the inflationsince, according to the latest report from the Department of Labor, in May, the annual rate rose to 8.6%, the highest point in 40 years.
