There was an interesting moment at the opening of the 2023 International Sufi Congress in Pekalongan, Central Java. Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo appear to be holding hands.
The moment came after President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) delivered his speech at the International Sufi Conference, which was streamed via World Sufi Assembly YouTube on Tuesday (August 29, 2023). First, Jokowi took the stage and hit the drum to mark the opening of the event.
During the drum fight, Jokowi was accompanied by several groups. These are Habib Lutfi bin Yahya, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Prabowo Subianto event committee, Pratikno Secretary of State under Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranovo.
Jokowi then struck the drum to signal the start of the International Sufi Congress. The officials accompanying Jokowi also applauded.
Jokowi then shook hands with the officials. Prabowo and Ganjar also shook hands.

Then Jokowi returned to the chair. At that moment, Prabowo and Ganjar were walking hand in hand across the stage.
They held each other and laughed together. Pratikno also laughed next to Prabowo. After that, they returned to their places.
