The Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean (COPPPAL), expressed his “most energetic rejection of the destabilizing attitude that from the outside is encouraged against the sister Republic of Cuba”, While expressing his fraternal friendship and solidarity with the Cuban people and with the Government of the President Miguel Diaz-Canel.
The leader of COPPPAL and president of the PRI, Alejandro Moreno Cardenas, he sued the government of the president of the United States, Joe biden, stop the onslaught against Cuba and open a frank and respectful dialogue that allows reaching agreements to overcome differences, instead of inciting confrontation between Cuban brothers.
“For the progressive parties of Latin America and the Caribbean“Cuba is not an island, it is a continent, it is our Great Homeland, so we reject any interference that seeks to violate the sovereignty of our nations.”
“The United States should open a space for political reflection that allows the most conservative groups to understand that it is not convenient for anyone to destabilize the region, on the contrary, we want a continent of prosperity, equality, where Latin Americans and Caribbean people can move towards better scenarios of well-being, of a happiness denied for centuries ”, expressed Moreno Cárdenas.
He reiterated that America cannot live in confrontation, since these are the times of agreements and forging new alliances to overcome the adversity we are experiencing, so “President Joe Biden must listen to the progressive sectors of the United States, who undoubtedly exist in that country and that, like COPPPAL, have insisted on a respectful, constructive and symmetrical dialogue that helps to normalize relations between the United States and Cuba ”.
At COPPPAL, he pointed out, “we are against the irresponsible calls for civil violence that only harm the peoples, and that are incubated in the dark conspiracies of conservatism that, with unspeakable ends, want to mount on the processes that only correspond define the peoples ”.
The leader of the Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America affirmed that Havana has shown a willingness to dialogue and understanding with the United States, and countless sincere signals have been sent that have been ignored or responded to with the hardening of inhumane measures. against the Cuban people, as is the case of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by that country on Cuba, which contravenes the purposes and principles of the Charter and the resolutions on the case of the United Nations General Assembly.
“This November 15, the day of fraternity and solidarity with Cuba, COPPPAL rejects any interventionist act that seeks to harm the sovereignty of the Republic of Cuba or generate division among the Cuban people,” Alejandro Moreno reaffirmed.
