Despite his discreet close with the Dodgers in the most recent season (he finished with a 6-7 record, 3.75 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 22 saves), we’re talking about a very good contract. Kimbrel agreed to a year and 10 million.
This will be the seventh team with which he will perform kimbrel, who reached the elite among MLB closers when he was part of his first club, the Atlanta Braves (2010-14). He later wore the uniform of the San Diego, Red Sox, Cubs, White Sox and Dodgers. In that period he won the World Series title in the 2018 game with Boston.
In 13 seasons, the fast right-hander has made 394 saves and between 2011 and 2014 he took the lead in this important category. Without a doubt, the 50 saves of 2013 appear as his most significant year in the best baseball in the world.
