One Injured in Wrong-way Crash on I-75 Near I-675, Lanes Shut Down

Northbound Interstate 75 was stopped around Interstate 675 on Tuesday due to a reported wrong-way motorist crash. At least one person was hurt.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said they received a report of an SUV heading south on I-75’s northbound lanes at 4:37 p.m., followed by a crash report a few minutes later.

According to OSHP, the incident occurred on northbound I-75 just before the exit for northbound I-675.

Smoke and fire could be seen rising from the smashed vehicles.

According to the Ohio Department of Transportation’s OHGO map, all lanes on I-75 North and one southbound lane were closed as a result of the crash.

The OSHP said that one person was brought to a nearby hospital in unclear condition.
