A fatal crash on Interstate 64 East near Milton early Sunday morning claimed the life of a 20-year-old Kentucky man and injured two others, according to the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office.
Stephen Green of Ashland, Kentucky, died after his car was rear-ended by a pickup truck around 6 a.m. near mile marker 31.
Sheriff Doug Adams said Green had pulled over due to a flat tire and was receiving assistance from a nearby construction worker, who had entered the passenger seat moments before the collision.
Both the construction worker and the pickup driver were transported to a local hospital. Their conditions have not been released. Eastbound lanes were temporarily shut down as crews responded to the scene.
