Once again, Steve Wozniak again criticizes Apple for its immobility and its lack of innovation with an iPhone 13 that for him are identical to the previous ones.
Steve Wozniak always has interesting opinions, often curious and sometimes even hilarious, but almost always realistic even when it comes to criticizing the company he founded with Steve Jobs in the late 1970s.
This last time, the good of Woz has come to the fore for claim that the iPhone 13 is identical to the iPhone 12 and it is not worth changing the model, or at least and being more fair, as published by the colleagues of GizmoChina what he has said exactly is that he doesn’t feel them different at all after having used the last two generations of the iPhone.
The truth is that it is something that we can appreciate with the naked eye, and it is that the appearance of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 is almost indistinguishable if we ignore the notch smaller, slightly larger cameras, and new colors, so Wozniak has not told a lie at the end of the day.
The problem is that, in fact, Apple’s co-founder did not stop there which also spoke of software:
I got the new iPhone. I couldn’t really tell the difference. The software it contains applies to older iPhones as well, I guess. Steve Wozniak.
Years of criticism of the iPhone from a user convinced of the iPhone 8
Actually, Steve is right that most of the improvements applied in iOS are also distributed in the older models, so the change from an iPhone 12 to an iPhone 13 loses sense if the hardware is not too different.
AND the jump between the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 13 is not that it was too big, simply by adopting the LTPO panels with variable refresh rates of up to 120 hertz and specific improvements in chipset and cameras that although they raise the level, it was already high on the iPhone 12.
In fact, it is that Wozniak has been claiming since 2017 that iPhones do not evolve, hinting in the past that he was still using an iPhone 8 himself because it felt the same as the iPhone 7, iPhone 6, and earlier.
Even when the iPhone X arrived, which in his case did represent a paradigm shift, the Apple co-founder had said that I would never buy an iPhone in its early days launch, talking about those usual Apple updates to alleviate youth problems in their devices.
He has not been seen never too excited to Wozniak with the most modern Apple products, although there is an exception, since Apple Watch has confirmed that “it’s his favorite piece of technology”, and then talk about a foldable iPhone as your next dream.
Be that as it may, no one can deny us no matter how fanboy or fangirl that the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 are almost identical, and that the change in this case is not very justified to say… Perhaps the iPhone 14, which is rumored to arrive without ‘notch’ and with titanium in its chassis, can convince Wozniak!
