CORNELIUS, Ore. – A school bus collided with a passenger car near Cornelius on Wednesday morning, sending several adults to the hospital, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

There were no pupils on the bus at the time of the collision.

The crash occurred around 8 a.m. on Wednesday at the junction of North 10th Avenue and Adair Street.

According to initial accounts, numerous people were transported to the hospital, but all are expected to recover from their injuries.

Deputies have stopped 10th Avenue for an investigation, and Adair Street will be confined to one westbound lane. Drivers should expect delays and plan an alternate route.
