According to the Oregon State Police, a 28-year-old motorcyclist died in a head-on incident on Sunday night.
Police responded to the incident near milepost 45 on Highway 224 in Clackamas County around 5:15 p.m. Sunday.
An investigation determined that the crash occurred when a motorbike driven by 28-year-old Niko Daniel Harpham of Oregon City slipped into oncoming traffic and was hit head-on by a Kia Forte.
Harpham was transported to a hospital by Life Flight but subsequently died. The driver of the Kia sustained minor injuries.
According to police, the highway was interrupted for around five hours during the inquiry.
