Morning Rain, 4-car Wreck Cause U.s. 75 Southbound Closure in Dallas on Memorial Day

An accident closed all southbound lanes of U.S. 75 in Dallas on Monday morning, while drivers contended with Memorial Day rains.

The route was halted at Knox as cars approached the city area. The Texas Department of Transportation reports that the crash occurred shortly before 6 a.m. The southbound lanes remained closed at 7 a.m.

Police were summoned to the crash around 6:10 a.m. on the 4500 block of North Central Expressway Southbound.

Investigators determined that this was a four-vehicle accident. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported one person to a local hospital in stable condition.

The investigation is underway.
