MLB: This would be the new ace of the Los Angeles Dodgers for the 2023 season | baseball 123

Meridian Writing

The Japanese pitcher, Kodai Senga, after declaring himself a free agent, has been linked to teams in southern California, since he apparently met with the San Diego Padres and has also captured the interest of the Los Angeles Dodgers and has been in the other teams’ radar, but he recently posted a photo of a Dodgers mug to his Instagram story, hinting that they might be on his radar, too.

Going to the Dodgers is a possibility Senga is considering among quite a few offers he is expected to receive.

Kodai Senga could help Dodgers’ pitching woes

The Dodgers have rotation and bullpen issues, though they’re undeniably talented. They lack depth and rely on aces like Julio Urias and Clayton Kershaw for stars. His bullpen had a bit more depth, but it could certainly be improved by someone like Senga.

Statistically, Los Angeles had the best pitching results in the league during the regular season. There is no denying that they are a talented team. However, they could get a few more reliable arms to further cement success.

Senga has experience as a starter and as a reliever, but seems to have more experience as a reliever. This past season, he played in two Japanese leagues and produced an ERA of 1.89 and a WHIP of 1.04. He would play very well alongside some of the other reliable players, and Los Angeles would certainly improve with him on the team.

It’s unclear where Senga may end up for the 2023 season, but Los Angeles certainly seems to be in the offing.
