The New York Mets were not satisfied with the physical tests of Carlos Correa, after several journalists announced an agreement between the club and the Puerto Rican shortstop for 12 years and 315 million dollars.
Days before, the San Francisco Giants had canceled the agreement with Correa himself for 350 million dollars because he did not pass the physical tests that the organization placed.

Journalist Jon Heyman indicated this weekend that the Mets and Correa are still negotiating and that there could be special clauses if a major injury occurs along the way.
Correa underwent surgery on his right leg in 2014 to repair a fractured fibula and ligament damage. The 28-year-old hasn’t been on the disabled list with a leg problem during his major league career, missing just 42 games over the past three seasons.
The shortstop finished 2022 with a .291 batting average, 22 home runs, 64 RBIs, 70 runs scored and an .834 OPS. He also looked very solvent with the glove, leaving a fielding percentage of .983, committing only 8 errors in 472 chances.
