Long An Stadium, which has fallen into disrepair after 39 years of operation, will be auctioned for an estimated amount of more than VND 1,800 billion.
The information was released on August 29 by the Provincial People’s Committee. Previously, the Provincial People’s Council approved the project of auctioning state-owned assets, which are offices and non-profit institutions, which should no longer be used by provincial institutions, organizations and divisions.

According to this project, 27 businesses, houses and land will be sold in this province during the period 2024-2030, the total amount is expected to exceed VND 5.100 billion.
In the next two years, the province will organize an auction of 4 old office buildings in Tanan City, including the Provincial People’s Procuratorate, the Clean Water and Sanitation Center, the Construction Inspector and the Provincial Stadium, for a total amount of money. more than VND 1.900 billion (it is expected that the stadium alone will raise more than VND 1.822 billion). This budget amount is managed and used, with priority given to the allocation of investment capital for the new construction of the Regional Political and Administrative Center, the Sports Complex, the Regional Museum – Library.
Long An Stadium includes the Sports Training and Competition Centre. The sports school with an area of almost 75,000 m², built 39 years ago, has a capacity of 20,000 seats. Over the years, the building has seriously degraded and could collapse at any moment.

The province plans to build a new stadium in the provincial sports complex, about 5 km from the old stadium, in Loi Binh Nhon commune, Tan An.
