Jakpro starts repairing JIS lawns following FIFA recommendations

Jakarta

The Jakarta Provincial Government DKI, in conjunction with PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), has begun turf repairs at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) in preparation for the Under-17 FIFA World Cup. All according to the FIFA recommendations.

The grass repair was carried out by Yakpro as stadium manager. The JIS turf field was dismantled and refurbished in accordance with FIFA recommendations.

Jakpro expert Vishnu Vardhana said he did not rule out the possibility of replacing some parts of the grass with new grass to meet FIFA standards. Photographs of the progress of the renovations obtained by JIS show that the old grass has been removed in all corners.

Vishnu explained that his party had repaired the grass on FIFA’s recommendation. The grass will later be sewn back up to make it stronger for hosting Under-17 World Cup matches in 2023.

“The whole process is currently underway. We have done various studies with other types of grass in several places. The fact is that we have made progress in preparing for the World Under-17 Championships,” Vishnu said on Tuesday (29). /8/2023).

Yakpro is confident that the entire renovation process will be completed on time and JIS will be able to host the Under-17 World Championships next November. In addition to grass repair, DKI Jakarta Bina Marga is also repairing access roads around JIS.
