An Air India Express flight bound for Dubai had to return to an airport in India about two hours after takeoff due to technical problems. There were 174 people on the plane.
“An Air India Express flight bound for Dubai returned to Thiruvananthapuram International Airport due to an air conditioner failure,” Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram International Airport in India said in a statement. Al ArabiyaMonday (24.07.2023).
Thiruvananthapuram said the flight departed on Sunday (July 23) at 13:19 local time and returned to the airport at 15:52.
The operational crew decided to make an emergency landing after a technical problem was reported, officials said.
The airline said it arranged for another plane to pick up passengers on the same day.
Air India Express said in a statement that the company is committed to providing a safe, secure and comfortable journey for all passengers. The airline also apologized for the inconvenience caused by the delay.
