Iniesta receives a reprimand for promoting the use of crypto …

The former player of the FC Barcelona, Andres Iniesta, has joined the wave of crypto assets and has made use of social networks to promote their use. Through a tweet, the member of the staff of the Vissel Kobe of the JLeague announced that he was learning to use the platform Binance.

However, the ‘post’ of the manchego has not sat well with the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), who has not been slow to give his answer to the player. In this sense, they have urged you to be better informed about the risks of this type of negotiation before promoting its use.

The CNMV warns Iniesta

From the CNMV have insisted on the dangers posed by the mobilization of large amounts of money through these cryptocurrency management platforms, which are decentralized assets and not backed by physical assets: “Crypto assets, being unregulated products, have some relevant risks”.

They have also asked Iniesta to review the statement issued by the entity and also signed by the Bank of Spain, in which, although they admit that crypto assets can facilitate transactions in the future, their implementation has not been fully perfected and could lead to serious problems.

Among the main risks of carrying out operations under this modality are the lack of support from a banking entity and little or no protection for users in the event of any irregularity, in addition to the “High speculative component” regarding the values of each cryptocurrency on the market.
