A Maryland lady was killed in a crash on Interstate 81 in Dauphin County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, the incident occurred in the southbound lanes near Exit 80, Route 743/Grantville/Hershey, in East Hanover Township.

Police said Joscelynne Pannone, 21, was driving an SUV when she lost control on the wet freeway and collided with the back of a parked flatbed truck.

Pannone was pronounced deceased on the scene. The coroner declared her death an accident.

The truck’s occupant was not hurt, according to authorities.

For several hours, all southbound lanes of Interstate 81 were closed between Exits 80, Route 743/Grantville/Hershey, and 77, Route 39/Manada Hill/Hershey.

The interstate reopened at roughly 6:45 a.m.
