Garlic is rich in minerals and nutrients, helps treat colds and poisoning, and also protects the body from cancer cells.
While it has many health benefits, there are times when garlic should be avoided.
Who Should Avoid Garlic:
1. People with diarrhea
Patients suffering from diarrhea should avoid raw garlic as its composition can stimulate bowel movements and lead to chronic inflammation and swelling.
2. People taking anticoagulants
Garlic has natural anticoagulant properties and should not be combined with anticoagulants (medications used to treat circulatory problems that thin the blood and therefore prevent blood clots). Bleeding may occur when these drugs are combined with garlic.
