This Monday the International benchmark fair for the Healthcare Technology sector, Medica, which celebrates its 52nd Edition, until Thursday, November 18. This year the fair will have a high participation of the sector from the hand of 48 Spanish companies associated with the Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies (Fenin) that will occupy an area of 1,200 square meters.
To give visibility to the Spanish companies participating in the fair, Fenin has developed the website Spanish Companies Medica, a microsite that, in an agile way, provides information on the participating companies, the sector they represent and their locations within the fair. Likewise, the website contains detailed information about the grouped pavilion that Fenin has organized for 23 years on behalf of and on behalf of ICEX Spain Export and Investments.
The sectors present at the fair are located in the following pavilions: laboratory and diagnostic equipment (pavilions 1 and 3); physiotherapy and orthopedic technique (pavilions 4 and 5); supplies and consumables (pavilions 5 and 7); imaging and diagnostics, medical equipment and devices (pavilions 9,10,11, 17); as well as the national and international pavilions (15, 16 and 17), where specifically Fenin will be present in Hall 15 Stand K03.
Health technology billing grows 400%
Once again, the high participation of Spanish companies in this fair reflects the potential and capacity of the Healthcare Technology sector that has an export turnover that exceeds 3,500 million euros that, between the years 2000 and 2019, have increased by 400 percent, as indicated in the report “Study on the Manufacture of Healthcare Technology in Spain and its Internationalization”.
Said report shows a real and updated image of the situation of the manufacturing and exporting companies of sanitary products in our country, “that is why it is very important to continue promoting the export activity of this sector and positioning the Healthcare Technology from Spain brand whose purpose is value Spanish technology beyond our borders”, Has indicated the director of the International of Fenin, Borja Polo. An objective that has recently been reinforced through the creation of the website, whose launch coincides with the 25th anniversary of the creation of the Fenin International Department.
MEDICA is the leading fair for the world medical sector that in the previous 2020 edition, for the first time in its history, was held entirely virtually due to the pandemic, but even so the participation figures reached more than 1,500 exhibitors from more than 60 countries. Regarding the number of visitors, there were more than 45,000 professionals (unique users) from 169 countries, numbers that confirm the outstanding international position of the fair.
