(The Epoch Times, August 28, 2023) Shen Yun dancer Rao Deru was born in China. When she was four years old, her father was tortured to death by the communists for practicing Falun Dafa. She fled to Thailand with her mother and came to the United States as a refugee when she was nine years old. Here she became an excellent dancer, telling stories of faith and courage in an art form of pure kindness and beauty, and sharing the traditional values of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance with audiences around the world.
