Corsica in orange vigilance, Alpes-Maritimes back in yellow vigilance

Météo-France predicted Corsica raised its orange vigilance on Monday, July 24, with peaks of 40°C possible in the south of Beauty Island, which raised stormy orange vigilance in the central east region. In the Alpes-Maritimes, the orange heat wave ended and turned yellow again on Monday morning.

At the end of the night, thunderstorms continue to circulate from west to east from the south of the Massif Central to the north of the Alps. They are point strong and are accompanied by small hail, strong gusts of wind, high precipitation intensity and significant electrical activity.

Morning thunderstorms will continue to affect Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, being less severe, but will continue to carry heavy showers from the north of the Alps into Alsace-Lorraine. From Brittany to the Belgian border, showers will follow one after the other and may be accompanied by thunder.
