Carlos Vela reaches 100 games with Los Angeles FC

Carlos Vela reached one hundred games with the Los Angeles FC jersey in the Major League Soccer seasons, after coming on as a substitute in the duel of the Angelenos against the Seattle Sounders.

Since his arrival in MLS in 2018, as LAFC’s first franchise player, Carlos Vela managed to win the 2019 MLS Supporters’ Shield and was runner-up in the Concacaf Champions League in 2020.

“Carlos #Vela comes on as a substitute in the second half and with it the captain of @LAFC reaches 100 games with the Angelina jersey in the MLS regular season,” wrote the MLS EspaƱol account to recognize the “Bombardier.”

In addition to being one of the most capped players in Los Angeles FC’s short history in Major League Soccer, Carlos Vela is also the club’s top scorer, with 73 goals in all competitions (63 in MLS).

Unfortunately for Vela and LAFC, the match ended in a draw against the Seattle Sounders, which left the Angelenos in first place in the Western Conference, with 30 points.
