‘Betty La Fea’ is in mourning, one of her unforgettable characters died

The cast of the most successful telenovela in history is in mourning, because this November 15 the actor died Raúl Santa, who gave life to ‘Efraín Rodríguez’ on ‘I am Betty the Ugly one’ from 1999.

Local media reported that he fought for years against a critical illness, and died at the age of 59 after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest at his home in the department of Quindío, in Colombia.

Raúl Santa had been away from acting for years, but he promoted regional audiovisual projects that are broadcast on the Telecafé channel.

Raúl is remembered for his character who was commonly called ‘the check’, in reference to the alimony he had to pay to his ex, ‘Sofía López’, the secretary of the financial vice-presidency of ‘Ecomoda’, the famous company where he worked ‘Ugly Betty’.

The character of Raúl Santa was also called ‘pupuchurro’, because it was the affectionate way with which he called ‘Jenny’, one of the models of ‘Ecomoda’, to make ‘Sofía’ rage.

The actress who gave life to ‘Jenny’ fired him on her social networks, as did several fellow members of the cast of ‘I am Betty, la Fea’.

The beloved Ana María Orozco also regretted the departure of her partner:
