Barcelona Sporting Club conveyed its full support to Byron Castillo on Monday after the defender’s irregular performance in the match that Barcelona SC lost on Sunday at the Aucas stadium, in Quito, on date 14 of phase 1 of the LigaPro Serie A.
In a publication, the yellow institution supported its player by sharing a photo of him accompanied by the hashtags #WeAreByron.
Castillo did not have a good day on Sunday during the Aucas vs. Barcelona. After provoking a penalty in the first half, he asked his coach, Jorge Célico, to substitute him for the Gonzalo Pozo Ripalda stadium field.
“Get me out, I can’t take it anymore, get me out,” Castillo said while reviewing the action in which he pushed Carlos Cuero in the area shortly before the break.
The television that owns the rights to the LigaPro Serie A captured Castillo visibly affected by his emotions.
The right-back did not return for the complement and received the support of his teammates. Pedro Pablo Velasco entered from the bench to occupy that band.
The soccer player of the Ecuadorian team was involved this month in an investigation procedure at the FIFA Disciplinary Committee, after the Chilean Soccer Association denounced “use of false birth certificate, false declaration of age and false nationality by of the aforementioned player”, this is an improper alignment, in the dispute of the South American qualifier for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Castillo is not on Barcelona SC’s travel payroll to Uruguay for the Copa Sudamericana match against Montevideo Wanderers, according to the squad list released this morning by the club on its social channels.
