Thirteen players from overseas competitions, ten from FORTUNA:LEAGUE, one pair of brothers and no newcomers. The coach of the Czech national football team Jaroslav Shilgavy put forward a candidacy for the upcoming qualifying match against Albania and training against Hungary.
The national team is looking forward to the important match against Albania, which they will meet on Thursday, September 7, from 20:45 at the Fortuna Arena in Prague. In case of victory, this will move significantly towards qualifying for UEFA EURO 2024. Tickets are sold on the Ticketportal network.
“One of the key matches of the entire qualification awaits us. We all understand why we play. Albania have a very good team, as evidenced by the fact that after the spring games they are right behind us in our qualifying group table. I believe that even with the support of the fans we will cope with this match and take a big step towards entering the European Championship, which we do not want to miss under any circumstances.” – said coach Yaroslav Shilgava.
He will have to do without injured striker Patrick Schick and defender David Jurasek. Goalkeeper Tomasz Vaclik, who played his last club game in April, has not even been nominated. “But if he catches in America and has the appropriate form, then, of course, we will continue to count on him,” emphasized Yaroslav Shilgovy.
On the other hand, there should be captain Tomas Soucek, who had to come off the bench at the Premier League weekend with a concussion after a tough fight.
“He is still passing some tests, but it looks promising. Tomas, as we are used to him, wants to be at the meeting at all costs. Of course, his health is also the most important thing for us, but at the moment it looks like we can count on him, even if he is likely to miss the championship game on Friday. Our doctors are in touch with their West Ham colleagues.” commented the team leader Tomasz Peshir.
Defenders Jakub Brabets and David Zima also managed to recover, who faced health problems in the summer. However, now they are playing in their clubs and now they have not even missed a representative invitation.
Not only do they have an unusually short meeting – in fact, the shortest one possible. On the fourth day of the meeting, the national team will play the above-mentioned important match against Albania, and three days later they will play in a preparatory match in Hungary. Further fights await her at the next meeting in October.
