According to Indiana State Police (ISP), three people were injured in a multi-vehicle incident on Wednesday afternoon along U.S. 30 in Whitley County.
According to an ISP spokeswoman, the three-vehicle incident occurred shortly before 2:45 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of U.S. 30 and S 300 East in Columbia City.
According to ISP, one person was flown to an area hospital for treatment, while two others were transferred by ambulance. Their particular situations are unknown at this time.
The eastbound lanes of U.S. 30 were restricted while crews tried to clear the scene, but they have now reopened.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and use an alternate route if feasible.
