A horrific crash on I-75 in Gordon County, Georgia on Tuesday morning killed three people and sent two others to the hospital.
According to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), a tractor-trailer in the northbound lanes collided with a car before crossing the median and veering into the southbound lanes, striking two additional tractor-trailers and two passenger vehicles.
The accident occurred during rush hour, around mile marker 308.
Authorities are still awaiting the identification of the victims’ next of kin.
This is the second fatal tractor-trailer crash on I-75 in two days.
On Sunday in East Ridge, authorities say a tractor-trailer collided with five other slowed vehicles, causing them to catch fire. Two individuals were killed in the crash, and the truck driver is facing charges.
