On August 18 at 9:30 pm, on the stage by Lake Pabažu, the Saulkrasti Cultural Center offers an open-air movie night to watch the adventure comedy “Fast Estonian Boys” – a film about recent history that many people still remember as flashes of early childhood or the experience of parents. The plot of the detective comedy is based on real events that took place in the 80s of the 20th century. Four Estonian guys hijack the Moscow Olympics boat and end up in the West, crossing the Iron Curtain. In the free world, they are greeted as heroes and freedom fighters. However, soon the guys have to face everyday realities. Instead of finding a job, they rob a bank to pay for the glamorous lifestyle they saw on TV…
